Great Mills Trading Post Joins the Community for Personalized Therapy's 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat
Halloween took on a new home this year in California, MD, and Great Mills Trading Post was glad to be part of it.
An Accessible, Inclusive Halloween
On Friday, October 31, 2025, Personalized Therapy hosted its 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat at 22593 Three Notch Road in California, MD, starting at 4:45pm. The event was presented by Personalized Therapy alongside Escape from the Past and Rick's Jewelers, and built around making Halloween accessible and inclusive for every family in the community. Kids and families enjoyed candy, a sensory tent, games, and a hay ride — all designed with accessibility in mind so that every child, regardless of ability, could take part in the fun.
Great Mills Trading Post was proud to join as a participant, setting up a trunk alongside the other local businesses and organizations that came out to make the evening special. Events like this depend on local businesses showing up, and GMTP was happy to be one of the trunks handing out candy and smiles to costumed trick-or-treaters.
A Community-Minded Tradition
Personalized Therapy, a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic serving St. Mary's County with occupational, physical, speech, ABA, and psychological services, built the Trunk or Treat around the same inclusive approach that defines its therapy programs — making sure kids with sensory sensitivities or mobility needs had just as much reason to look forward to Halloween as anyone else.
For Great Mills Trading Post, joining in was an easy call. As a longtime Southern Maryland business, GMTP has always valued showing up for the community — whether that's through major projects like the donation of a building to St. Mary's Caring Soup Kitchen, support for Feed St. Mary's, or simply setting up a trunk and a bowl of candy for local kids on Halloween night.
Why It Matters
A safe, inclusive Trunk or Treat doesn't come together without local businesses willing to participate. Great Mills Trading Post was glad to stand alongside Personalized Therapy, Escape from the Past, and Rick's Jewelers in giving St. Mary's County families a fun, welcoming way to celebrate Halloween together.
Don't forget to wear your costume — and keep an eye out for next year's Trunk or Treat at Personalized Therapy.
